Mondays at The Pearl Exchange were all about resetting for the week ahead, offering an uplifting, resilience-building toolbox of practices.

To start the week, every Monday we had a Wim Hof-style group cold water dip at the Bude Sea Pool to get circulation and endorphins flowing. Cold Water Swimming is proven to boost immune systems, reduce stress, burn calories and increase moods.

To start the week, every Monday we’ll be having a Wim Hof-style group cold water dip at the Bude Sea Pool to get your circulation and endorphins flowing. Andy Blake.

We’re delighted to welcome back Andy Blake who’ll be guiding you through Blakey Bay’s six week program, running every Monday until the end of June. A holistic approach, to help you optimise the potential, not just of your body but your mind too. Learn how to protect yourself from injury, prepare the body for healthy and efficient movement and train the mind to manage emotions such as stress, fear, anxiety. His sessions will integrate breathwork, mindfulness, yoga, strength and conditioning, all of which can be shaped specifically for your individual needs. This is an amazing opportunity and will be a popular workshop, book early so you don’t miss out.

Parents Support.

The Parents Support Group will be a regular feature of Monday morning. Giving new parents the space and opportunity to come together, support one another and make new friends as we ease into a new phase of life in a post-pandemic world. Navigating parenthood in lockdown hasn’t been easy for anyone, this is a chance to connect and share. It’s not just the parents, babies and toddlers have also missed out on the chance to mix and be with others, it’s important and fun for them too. The toys are provided by the fantastic Bude Toy Library, they’re lovely, new and alternate each week. Build the Parents Support group into your weekly routine and find your feet in the area. If you’re an apprehensive new mum or dad why not give us a go? Nerves will quickly vanish as your walk into a room filled with an energy of welcoming acceptance.

Finally, we’ll be rounding up Monday evenings with an hour of Rosie’s Kundalini Vinyasa yoga. Move your body and the mind will follow. We promise you’ll leave the room feeling more relaxed, energised, powerful and renewed than you did when you walked in. Building a connection between the mind and body can help increase mood, focus and self-esteem. Whilst the physical activity helps to build balance, strength and flexibility – especially targeting those surf muscles. Yoga mats are provided and all levels are welcome, whether you practice daily, or have never tried yoga before – this could be your chance to try something new.
