Creative Writing Workshop

Join author Sam Horton for a fortnightly writing evening. These sessions alternate: one week will be a taught workshop with prompts, then the next will be an opportunity to work on your own projects with assistance if needed. Bring work from home, or read things written in an earlier workshop for a chance to get feedback on your work in a safe, supportive space. Or if you’d rather not work without direction, Sam will be running short story surgeries – read a short story, find what you like/dislike about it, and then write something based on what you’ve learnt.

Sam was shortlisted for the Bridport flash fiction prize in 2020, Highly Commended for the Hammond House International Short Story Prize in whose anthology he was published. His debut novel Gorse will be published in 2024.
