Photography: Crits, Analysis & Techniques
This monthly workshop led by Chris Durant offers the opportunity to explore photography in both a practical and analytical way. In a supportive group, the aim is to share ideas and discuss your work to build confidence, expand your practice and develop new skills.
Each month will have a different focus and intermittent guests will be invited to host with fashion photographer David Sims being scheduled for August.
This month’s focus is: Analogue Photography
A truly great photographer knows when to NOT press the shutter button.
We will be slowing down the whole process of image-making, and considering composition, light, contrast, and exposure to create striking negative images in Pinhole and Victorian cameras, developing our paper images in a temporary darkroom.
This will feed back into our own practice as photographers, enhancing our skills and making us patient and considered artists.
