Hosted by the lovely Beth, Parent Group is a casual, friendly space for parents to come together, support one another and meet friends. Navigating parenthood without support isn’t easy. Sharing experiences, advice or just a cuppa can help!
Babies and toddlers will also have the chance to play with a selection of toys from Bude Toy Library.
This week, we’ll be joined by Jemma Wood, part of the infant feeding health visiting team for Cornwall Council. They offer support to all families across Cornwall with any questions, issues or challenges around feeding their children. This could be breastfeeding, bottle feeding with formula or breast milk, weaning, expressing or combination feeding.
“We understand that every family feeds their babies differently and we are here to support you and your family in your feeding goals without judgement. We can offer support, advice or a listening ear around any feeding struggles, or offer information and sign posting for any questions, myth busting or golden nuggets which might just make your feeding journey easier or at least help you feel less alone as you navigate it all.”
Jemma has been working with children and families for over 20 years and used to run The Pearl Exchange Parent Group a few years ago.
Please note: children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please bring changing bags and mats if your child needs these as we don’t have them onsite.
All sessions at The Pearl Exchange are free for 18-35 year olds in Cornwall & Devon.
