Join filmmaker Charlie Key for this crash course in all things filmmaking! Learn to plan, shoot, edit and more over the course of this jam-packed weekend.
Friday, 1pm-8pm
– Exploring genres, styles of filmmaking + what makes a good story
– Learning how to use manual settings on a camera (or just a phone!)
– How to conduct a good interview
– Drafting short film ideas around the theme ‘My Place’
Saturday, 10am-5pm
– Exploring lighting and audio
– Shooting interviews
– Shooting B-roll
Sunday, 10am-5pm
– Learning the basics of video editing
– Exploring sound design and music
– Work on finishing short films!
We will then be hosting a screening (and award ceremony!) on Thursday 28th March (TBC), where your films will be screened alongside a selection of films made by other local filmmakers.
Drinks and snacks provided – bring your own lunch!
